The Public Space Debate: Why It Matters

Shawn Micallef, co-owner of Spacing, hosts a conversation with artist Sean Martindale, Helena Grdadolnik of WORKSHOP and Marc Ryan of Public Work. They discuss building, planning and creating of engaging public spaces.

The panelists offer their insights into questions like: What brings streets to life? How do we create places that have life beyond buildings and cars? How can city-dwellers participate more in public spaces? And why does it matter anyway?

The event was organized by Waterfront Toronto in partnership with the Toronto Public Library.
